Clinton Township Municipal Court is a shared court and includes the following courts:

• Union Township (Hunterdon County)
• Town of Clinton
• High Bridge Borough
• Hampton Borough
• Lebanon Township
• North Hunterdon records
  (Clinton Township maintains the records for the court previously operating as North Hunterdon Municipal Court and adjudicates any outstanding matters previously issued out of that joint court)

The Municipal Courts on the 3rd floor of the Clinton Township Public Safety Building located at 1370 Route 31 North, Annandale, New Jersey. Upon entry to the building, take the elevator to the 3rd floor, exit left and the violations bureau window is at the end of the hall.

Discovery Requests: discovery requests should be emailed directly to the prosecutor at  municipal.rickardslaw@gmail.com

Letters of Representation/Adjournment Requests: letters of representation and/or adjournment requests should be submitted via the electronic document submission portal OR by fax to 908-735-3731. Please DO NOT duplicate submissions by way of JEDS and fax OR JEDS and email. If you want to confirm receipt of your submission, please call the court or you may utilize the Municipal Case Search on the New Jersey Judiciary website, to confirm the matter has been adjourned and the new date. Please refrain from emailing requests to court personnel and follow the procedure above.

Online options now available:

• If you were issued a payable summons or complaint, you may visit www.njmcdirect.com and follow the prompts to pay.
• If your ticket is eligible, you may also request a plea offer from the prosecutor on the same website by following the steps above and selecting “request a plea” from the options.
• You may also enter a guilty plea to a qualifying summons or complaint by following the steps above and selecting “enter a plea” from the options.
• If you wish to enter a plea of not guilty, please contact the court to be scheduled for a court appearance.

Court Appearances:
Court sessions are on Wednesday and appearances are virtual, unless otherwise noted. The Court utilizes the Zoom platform for court sessions. If you would like to enter a not guilty plea to a summons or complaint or your summons and/or complaint requires a court appearance, please contact the court to provide your email address and phone number. Once we have that information and a matter is scheduled for court, a scheduling notice is generated and includes the log in information for the virtual appearance. Additionally, an email is sent the Monday prior to the scheduled appearance that includes the log in information, as well as instructions on how to log in. Identifying yourself when logging in, by entering your first and last name as it is listed on your summons and/or complaint, is necessary to avoid the delay of court proceedings.
