Transfer Station

RECYCLING AREA IS OPEN
- Hunterdon County Transfer Station Address: 11 Petticoat Lane, Annandale. The transfer station is for Hunterdon County residents only.
- Reminder: The residential recycling area has moved across the lot in the green bins. Follow the signs and please slow down!
- Costs: The per-vehicle cost for disposal of residential bulky waste is $22 per car; $32 for vans, SUV's and trucks. An additional $10 charge for vehicles with trailers.
- Note Regarding the Recycling of Refrigerators, Air Conditioners and Dehumidifiers: The Hunterdon County Transfer Station will only accept refrigerators, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers with a certificate of evacuation.
- Contact: For further commercial and residential disposal fee information, please contact the transfer station at 908-236-9088. Businesses interested in waste disposal must first be registered with New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection and then contact the Transfer Station.
Garbage:
There is no municipal garbage pickup. Residents should contact the area haulers for pricing and service information

- New for 2022 - In January homeowners will be mailed one free pass to the County Transfer Station on Petticoat Lane.
Recycling:
- Residents and business are required to recycle. They can contract with a private hauler or drop their recyclables off at the County Transfer Station on Petticoat Lane.

Hazardous Waste:
- Hunterdon County Solid Waste and Recycling services has occasional drop offs for electronics, hazardous household waste, and air conditioners/dehumidifiers. Information on scheduled dates for drop offs can be found at Hunterdon County Solid Waste and Recycling Services.
